After 24 hours of travel we arrived in Krakow, Poland. We were very disoriented but luckily the Airbnb host got us a taxi from the airport to the apartment we rented. After unpacking we went to market square and had some traditional polish cuisine. MMMMmmmmm is how good the food is, perogies, soups, a plate full of meat. You can't go wrong. After dinner we got some groceries for breakfast and found a popular energy drink here: *black sexenergy... I was very curious why there was an asterisk, but unfortunately there was only Polish on the label so I can only assume it said the following: *black sexengery is not only for black people, *black sexenergy is not made from black people's mojo or has anything to do with black people other than Mike Tyson is the spokes person, *black sexenergy may give you sex energy up to or exceeding a black person but because of the previous point, this point is not valid.
The next day we were so sleepy, lots of jet lag. The day after we went to check out the competition area. This year it is at the aviation museum. I was hoping we would get to ride on a plane but I don't think that is going to be the case. The back drop to the sections with all the old planes is very cool though.
The museum has a lot of interesting planes. These two were the most interesting:
The next day we went to the market and bought some more groceries. It was challenging because we couldn't speak polish but we managed.
We then took the tram to the local trials park. When we arrived, Sam Oliver was there. After he left, the Polish champ, Karol Serwin, and Ukrainian champ, Vladyslav Krat arrived. Its a pretty good little trials park with some interesting rocks and logs.
